Mary C. Volock, born October 8, 1927 in Florida, NY, entered into rest peacefully on Thursday evening, June 1, 2017 with her nieces by her side. She was a loving daughter, sister and aunt who dedicated her life serving others including raising her sister's four daughters after her untimely death. She was the daughter of John M. Volock and Mary Rutkowski Volock. She was preceded in death by her brother, John E. Volock Sr., Stanley R. "Curly" Volock and sister, Clara Theresa Volock Riley. She is survived by her brother Frank A. Volock of Goshen, NY; her nieces, Mary Lou Teller of Hyde Park, NY; Catherine Rivera of Fishkill, NY; Theresa Weiss of LaGrangeville, NY; Linda Riley of Schenectady, NY; Ruetta "Tink" Hayes of Mechanicsburg, PA and nephew, John E. Volock Jr. of Kiowa, Colorado; several great nieces and nephews, and two great-great nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 4th from 1-4PM at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00AM Monday, June 5th at St. Joseph Church, 20 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Florida, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church Restoration Fund, 14 Glenmere Ave., Florida, NY 10921.
