Ann Marie Donegan of Goshen, NY, entered into rest on Thursday, September 21, 2017. She was 86. The daughter of the late Martin Schmidt & Ann Crowley Schmidt, she was born on August 10, 1931 in New York, NY. Ann Marie was a graduate of Our Lady of Good Counsel College. She was most proud of being a mother, and after raising her children, she worked as a teacher for the Clarkstown Central School District. She was a talented singer and pianist who loved to travel and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her six children, Kenneth Donegan; Denise Gass (Jerry); Patricia Stephens (Paul); Gerard Donegan (Stacey); Claire Cashman (Bob); Robert Donegan (Denise); 18 grandchildren; 2 great grandsons; 1 great granddaughter; sister-in-law, Sister Margaret Donegan SC. She is further survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Edward Donegan, brother, Martin Schmidt Jr. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 24th from 3-7PM at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921. A funeral mass will be held 2 PM Monday, September 25th at St. Joseph Church, 20 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921. Burial will be in O.C. Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Goshen, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
