Henry Vincent Labanowski, of New Hampton, NY a retired therapy aide for Middletown Psychiatric Hospital, entered into rest on Sunday, August 22, 2010 at home. He was 83. The son of the late Louis and Jennie Klimaszewski Labanowski, he was born March 22, 1927 in New Hampton. Henry will be remembered for his great love of fishing and baseball. Henry was a US Army Air Force WWII Veteran. Survivors include his wife, Marie Wydra Labanowski; seven children: Robert Henry Labanowski and his wife Yraima, Dr.Michael Labanowski and his wife Cathy and their children, Alex, Sawyer & Harrison; Brian Labanowski and his wife Jean and their children, Tamara & Julia; Jeffry & Karin, and his children Cassandra , Vatoria & Joshua; Christopher, darling daughter Rosemarie, Eric Labanowski; brothers-in-law, Joseph Wydra and his wife Marion and Edward Wydra and his wife, Kim; sisters-in-law, Mariann Labanowski and Dorothy Wydra; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Lewis Labanowski. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 from 10 to 11:45 AM at the T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 690 County Route# 1, Pine Island, NY 10969. Funeral Mass will held 12 noon on Tuesday, August 24th at St. Stanislaus Church, Pine Island, NY. The Reverend Joseph Tokarczyk will officiate. Burial was in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the New Hampton Fire Dept., P.O. Box 598 New Hampton, NY 10958.
