Ronald Kowalcyzk entered the eternal world on June 3rd, 2025 at the age of 63.

He was born on January 5, 1962 in Florida, NY to his predeceased parents George and Marjorie.

Ron was a loving husband to his surviving wife Irene Kowalczyk of 8 years and a proud step father to Christine Stathes and Andrew Stathes ( Kristin). He is survived by his brothers George Gary Kowalczyk ( Carol); JoAnn Schultz (Robert) ; AnnMarie Kowalczyk ; Richard Kowalczyk (Mary).

He is also survived by his nephews Jason Schultz ( Katrina and their daughter London); David Schultz ; Phillip ( Meredith and their children Graham and Claire); Ricky ( Kim and their children Ethan and Kyler).

Ron worked 43 years at Montefiore St Lukes Cornwall Hospital, formerly known as Cornwall Hospital as a Radiologic Technologist. He was a sonographer that was ARDMS registered. In the field of ultrasound, accuracy, precision, and knowledge are essential. He was the first to take on vascular ultrasound at the Cornwall campus. Additionally, he performed ECHO as well as MRI .Lastly, he  was ARRT registered as an x-ray technologist. Ron was awarded two catch a star awards for exceptional  patient care. His knowledge was second to none and he had a gentle comfort that guided patients during some of their most vulnerable times.

Ron was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing pool and bowling. More than anything, Ron thoroughly enjoyed spending his downtime traveling with his wife, going out to various fairs, festivals, and gatherings with his family and friends. Most importantly, he looked forward to his annual family and friend BBQs.

Ron’s celebration of life viewing will be on Friday, June 6th at T.S.Purta Funeral Home 22 Glenmere Ave. Florida, NY from 4pm-8pm.

Service will be held Saturday, June 7th at 10:30 am at the funeral home.

Burial will take place following the service in St. Joseph Cemetery, Florida, NY.
