Timothy Taft, a longtime resident of Middletown, NY entered in to rest unexpectedly, on Sunday June 1, 2025. He was 56 years old.

Born May 9, 1969, in Norfolk, VA he was the son of John Taft of Red Oak VA, and the late Henrietta Sherman Taft. He is predeceased by his stepmother Dolores Taft.

Tim was a graduate of Minisink Valley High School where he excelled at wrestling, and he was a carpenter by trade. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed playing golf with his brothers, nephews, many uncles, cousins and friends.

He is survived by his brother Henry “Butch” Taft and his wife Cheryl of Advance, NC, and his sister Sharon Worth and her husband Rusty of Broxton GA; by his immediate nephews Sean Taft of Advance, NC, Joshua Taft of Hollywood FL, Chris Worth of Douglas, GA, Brandon Worth and his wife Ashley of Newville, AL, niece Retta Worth of Broxton, GA, as well as a number of additional immediate great nieces and nephews.

Tim also leaves behind a widely extended family including his stepbrothers Albert Schadt of Greenville in Orange County, NY and Phil Schadt and wife Brenda also of Greenville, along with additional stepsiblings, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his stepbrother Larry Nelson.

There will be no visitation

Services will be private at the family’s convenience
