Helmut Otto Terzer of Chester, NY entered into rest on Wednesday July 9, 2025.  He was 80 years old.

The son of Otto and Maria Ehefrau Terzer he was born on December 23, 1944 in Niederaschau, Germany.

He was a retired Therapist for Helen Hayes Hospital, West Haverstraw, NY.

He was predeceased by his wife Carol Ann Terzer.

He is survived by his children Ginny Terzer, Timothy Terzer and wife Yvette, Dawn Bono and husband Charles, Carol Trainor and husband David; grandchildren Lizzy, Katelyn, Eric, Jake, Jenna, Johanna, Rachel, Emily and Daniel; great grandchildren Ashlyn, Connor, Elijah, Ezra, Barrett, Wyatt, Boone, Jackson and Parker; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday July 13, 2025 from 2-6 PM at T.S. Purta Funeral Home 22 Glenmere Ave., Florida, NY 10921.

A funeral mass will be held 10 am on Monday July 14, 2025 at St. Columba Church 31 High St. Chester, NY 10918.

Burial will be held in St. Columba Cemetery, Chester, NY .
