It is with deep love and sorrow that we share the passing of our beloved mother, wife, and grandmother.

Eleanor Theresa Pfitzner, age 74, passed away on July 3, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness. Married to her devoted husband for 55 years, their bond was a beautiful example of enduring love and partnership.

She is survived by her husband James at home; daughter Jennifer Agsten; Son James Pfitzner; granddaughters Briana Waters, Amber Waters, and Elizabeth Pfitzner; Brother Dennis Gallagher; Sisters Maureen Gallagher Parker, Kathleen Kessler, Ann Marie Mayeu, and Ethel Corlelius as well as many nieces, and Nephews.

She found great joy in life’s simple pleasures—gardening, reading, and spending time by the ocean brought her peace and happiness. Above all, family, was her greatest treasure. She cherished every moment with her three grandchildren, showering them with warmth, encouragement, and unconditional love.

She had an infectious laugh that could light up a room and a gift for making anyone feel like an old friend. Her warmth, generosity, and spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family, friends, and all whose lives she brightened.

Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday August 2, 2025 from 2-5 PM at T.S. Purta Funeral Home 690 Co. Rt. 1, Pine Island, NY.
