Robert Thomas Conklin of Port Jervis, NY, entered into rest on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at home.  He was 86.

The son of the late Frederick Lauster and Evelyn Dollar Lauster, he was born on March 2, 1939 in Hudson, NY.

Robert was a US Navy Veteran.

He is survived by his daughter, Peggy Sue Vilsaint and husband Michael; grandchildren, Thomas Conklin and his children (Lee & Jada); Erica Conklin and her daughter (Orla Cunningham); Justin Cuttler, Cody Cuttler and her son (Toby Harry); William Cuttler and his daughter (Rayna); Thomas Cuttler Jr. and his daughter (Eve); sister, Beverly VanDuzer and a brother Everett Lauster; son-in-law, Tom Cuttler; sisters-in-law, Lisa McElroy and Rose Morse; and niece, Jennifer VanDuzer and her son Dylan.

He was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth “Betty” Ann Morse Conklin; daughters, Dana Cuttler and Anna Conklin; and grandson, Eric Conklin.

As per his wishes, there will be a private cremation and burial of his cremains with his wife will take place privately at the O.C. Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Goshen, NY.
