Marsha Schmid of New Hampton, NY, entered into rest on Tuesday, December 30, 2025.  She was 77.

The daughter of the late Lafayette Morgan and Evelyn Rockafellow Morgan, she was born on September 18, 1948 in Middletown, NY.

She graduated from Middletown HS in 1966. She worked for Middletown Psychiatric Center for 30 years as a secretary to many doctors. She was married to her husband, Willie, for 50 years. She was an avid animal lover and would feed any stray cats that came to her door.  She donated to many charities, including ASPCA, St. Jude's, and police associations. She enjoyed gardening, baking, and had an affinity for cardinals.

She is survived by her daughter, Andrea Ogorzaly (Edward); son, William Schmid Jr. (Kimberly); 5 grandchildren, Triston Willcox, Zoey Ogorzaly, Jacob, Emma and Andrew Schmid and brother, Peter Morgan (Sue); brother-in-law, John Schmid (Kathy); sister-in-law, Susan Eckerson (John); along with nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband William Schmid Sr.

Memorial visitation will be held for both Willie and Marsha on Saturday, January 10th from 10AM-12Noon at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 690 County Route# 1, Pine Island, NY 10969. The family will share their memories at the end of the visitation.
