Stella T. Kozireski of Campbell Hall, NY, entered into rest on Thursday, January 1, 2026 at home.  She was 81.

The daughter of the late Walter Dyczewski and Mary Jaroszewski Dyczewski, she was born on February 23, 1944 in Jersey City, NJ.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Peter Kozireski; daughter, Theresa Moriarty-Coohill and her husband, John; son, Peter Kozireski Jr.; daughter, Lisa Skorewicz and her husband, Peter; daughter, Cheryl Lynn Coddington and her husband, Chris; 9 grandchildren; Matthew Bunn, Kayla Rider, Sayera Snyder, Shawn Moriarty, Emily Moriarty, James Kozireski, Owen Peter Skorewicz , Katrina Skorewicz and Kylessa Coddington; 6 great grandchildren; brothers, Dennis and Edward Dyczewski; sister, Debbie Hascup; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She was predeceased by 4 sisters and 2 brothers.

She was a resident of Campbell Hall for 46 years.  Prior to that time, she lived close to the Jersey shore, where trips to the beach were frequently a weekend visit.  Stella was always the life of the party.  She always had a smile on her face and a laugh to share.  She was a selfless woman, always ready to help anyone that needed her.  She had such a big heart and always put others before herself.  In her earlier life, she loved to bowl and was an avid bowling league participant. Stella worked as a switchboard operator for AT&T.  She worked in catering and was a waitress for many years. She also worked at a local ski resort in the rental shop.  She loved vacationing to Wildwood (where she would play poker with her grandkids at the arcade), Atlantic City, Vegas and many other places.  She loved the beach, dancing, playing cards, crocheting, board games, bingo and watching her comedies. Stella was mostly known for her avid conversations.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 7th from 2-4 & 6-8PM at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921.

A funeral mass will be held 10:30AM Thursday, January 8th at St. Joseph Church, 20 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921.

Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Florida, NY.
