Max Schultz of Pine Island, NY went to the Lord on February 16, 2026, surrounded by his family, after a short battle with cancer. He was 82 years old.
He was born on February 3, 1944 in Warwick, NY. He was the son of Charles Schultz and Anna Omenick Schultz.
He was married to his loving and devoted wife, Rose Sanok Schultz for 60 years.
Max retired from E.Tetz & Sons Inc. as a truck driver in January 2021. He was an active member of the St.
Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church for over 50 years and was a member and past president of the St. Stanislaus Holy Name Society.
Max is survived by his wife Rose Sanok Schultz of Pine Island, NY; his 2 children: Walter Schultz and his wife Lisa Schultz of Warwick, NY, and Brenda Schultz of Chester, New York; 3 grandchildren Melinda Germain and her husband Charles Germain of Chester, NY, and Brianna and Brayden Schultz of Warwick, NY; 1 great grandchild Oliver Charles Germain of Chester, NY; his sister Irene Decker and her husband Paul Decker of Monticello, NY; and many nieces and nephews.
Max was predeceased by his parents Charles and Anna Schultz, his brothers Charles Schultz, Mitchell Schultz and Walter Schultz.
Visitation will be held on February 19, 2026 at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 690 County Route 1, Pine Island, NY 10969 from 4pm- 8 pm. St. Stanislaus Holy Name Society will have a service at 6:30 PM.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday February 20,2026 at 11 am at St. Stanislaus Roman
Catholic Church, Pine Island, NY, Rev. Joseph Tokarczyk will officiate.
Interment will follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Pine Island NY. The family is asking for you to join them at The Tap House at Sugarloaf in Sugarloaf, NY at 1 pm.
