Alice, age 84, of Pine Island, NY, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 23, surrounded by her loving family. 

Alice lived a life defined by curiosity, adventure, and a deep appreciation of getting out and doing things that made each day special. She found great happiness in traveling, always eager to explore new places, experience different cultures, and create lasting memories along the way. Whether it was a weekend getaway or a long-awaited trip, Alice embraced every journey with enthusiasm and a sense of wonder.

Closer to home, she also enjoyed the thrill and excitement of time spent at the casino, where playing the slots brought both entertainment and a touch of luck. It was never just about the game—it was about the experience, the lights, the sounds, and the shared moments with friends, family, and strangers.

Alice will be remembered for her chase of a bargain, tricky tray, games of chance, and scratch off lottery tickets. She had a way of turning ordinary moments into cherished memories, leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

She is survived by, daughters Susie Watson and Lisa Hendelman. Brother Vincent Sadowski, sisters Rosemarie Ostrowski and husband Raymond, sister Joann Gotzon and husband Ronald, and several nieces and nephews who will continue to honor her legacy.

Visitation will be held on Saturday March 28, 2026 from 9 am to 10:45 am at T.S. Purta Funeral Home 690 Co. Rt. 1, Pine Island, NY 10969.

Funeral mass will be held Saturday March 28, 2026, 11am at St. Stanislaus Church 717 Pulaski Highway, Pine Island, NY 10969.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages loved ones to take a trip, try something new, or simply enjoy life’s little pleasures in remembrance of Alice.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
