Paul A. Ardizzone was born on April 21, 1979 in Foxborough, Massachusetts to the late Edmund and Paula Ardizzone. Paul passed away suddenly on July 18, 2026.

Paul was a 15-year member of the FDNY and EMS Lieutenant. He spent many of those at the HAZ-TAC battalion. He recently transitioned to Communications. Paul was appointed to FDNY on July 11, 2011. He had assignments at Stations 16 and 8 as a Paramedic and to EMS Stations 18 and 7 as a Lieutenant.

Paul received the Tracy Allen-Lee Medal in 2019 for help treating and evacuate a critically ill patient from a cruise ship during a maritime rescue operation. In 2022 he received the Christopher J. Prescott Medal in 2022 for providing advanced life support to trapped victims during a Brooklyn building collapse. He was a member of FEMA NY Take Force 1. He had multiple pre-hospital saves. Paul was recognized as a face of the We are FDNY ad campaign and was featured in print and photos. Paul was respected for his experience, thoughtfulness and compassion across the membership.

Paul joined Aura Preparedness, Protection & Training Consultants and was in the process of becoming a state Certified Lab Instructor with the SUNY Orange EMT program.

He was a former member of the Highland Engine & Hose Company# 3 in Florida, New York.

Paul was a lifelong diehard fan of the New England Patriots. After waiting more than 20 years he finally became a season ticket holder. He enjoyed fishing, camping, NASCAR, and country music.

Paul is survived by his wife Dr. Alisha Fuller; son, Timothy (Bubba) and his wife Alexis; sister, Christina Kirschke (Rich); mother-in-law, Beth Fuller; sister-in-law, Danielle Fuller (Billy); nieces, Emma, Ava and Cally; nephew, Will (Melanie).

He was predeceased by his parents and father-in-law, Fray Fuller.

A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2026 from 2-6PM at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921.
