David Thomas Dzierzek of Florida, NY, entered into rest on August 24, 2017 at Westchester Medical Center, Valhalla, NY. He was 84.
The son of the late Frank Dzierzek & Wilda Banick Dzierzek, he was born April 29, 1933 in Chester, NY.
He was a member of St. Joseph Church, Florida, NY. He was a US Army Veteran and a member and Past Commander of the P.L.A.V. Post # 16, Pine Island, NY.
Survivors include daughter, Mary Sullivan; son, Frank Dzierzek & wife Tina; son, David Dzierzek, Jr.; daughter, Lori Dzierzek; Grandchildren, Kelly Castillo, Lisa Sullivan, John Sullivan III, Christina Dzierzek; great grandchildren, Isabella & Sean Castillo.
Visitation will be held Sunday, August 27th from 1-3 & 5-7PM at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921.
Funeral mass will be held 11AM Monday, August 28th at St. Joseph Church, Florida, NY.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Florida, NY
Memorial contributions may be made to P.L.A.V. Post # 16, PO Box 16, Pine Island, NY 10969.
