Kristopher Hicks of Liverpool, NY formerly of Warwick, NY, died tragically on Saturday, September 15, 2018.  He was 29.

 

Kris was currently a chef at Chili’s Grill & Bar Restaurant Chain.  He was a loyal employee with the “Chili Family” for over 10 years, where he held various positions throughout New York State. He was a 2007 graduate of Warwick Valley High School and a lifelong Mets Fan.

 

A family statement reads, “Kris was a determined self-made man who loved his family, friends and animals, especially cats.  We will forever miss his smile and sense of humor.”

 

The son of Kevin & Kathleen Neilan Hicks, he was born on January 11, 1989 in Newburgh, NY.

 

He is survived by his parents, Kevin & Kathleen Hicks; brother, Kenneth Hicks; girlfriend, Elaine Pelletier; along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

 

He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, William & Collette Neilan and paternal grandparents, Henry & Ethel Hicks.

 

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 12-3PM at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921.

 

A funeral service will be held 3pm at the funeral home.

 

Cremation & burial will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Warwick Valley Humane Society, PO Box 61, Warwick, NY 10990 or to a charity of one’s choice.
