Douglas William Schmick of Grosse Pointe, MI, a retired Career Soldier for the U.S. Army, entered into rest on Sunday, March 24, 2019. He was 71.
The son of the late Douglas Schmick & Wilhelmina Lewis Schmick, he was born on April 4, 1947 in Warwick, NY.
He is survived by his daughter, Andrea Glynn & her husband Patrick of Grosse Pointe, MI; grandson, Andrew Glynn; sister, Susan Reichal of Warwick, NY; brother Louis Schmick & wife Nadine of Beaver Dams, NY; along with numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Frank Reichal.
Graveside services with full military honors will be held 11AM Friday, April 5th at the Warwick Cemetery, Warwick, NY.
