Obituary of Edward Joseph Mudrick

Edward Joseph Mudrick of Florida, NY a lifelong resident of the area, entered into rest on Sunday, June 5, 2016. He was 89. The son of the late Peter Mudrick & Mary Andryshak Mudrick, he was born November 13, 1926 in Goshen, NY. Ed was a US Navy WWII veteran serving in the Pacific. He was a retired Postal Worker for the U.S. Postal Service, Florida, NY. He was also the "Famed Florida TV Repairman" in the 1950's & 60's. He was a member of St. Joseph Church, Florida, NY; a member of St. Joseph Church Choir and St. Joseph's Holy Name Society; a member of American Legion Post 1250 and a 58 years member of the Florida Fire Department. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Rita Harter Mudrick; son, Kenneth E. Mudrick; daughter, Mary E. Cameron & husband David; son, William E. Mudrick & wife Carin; sister, Gertrude Meduski; 3 granddaughters, Megan LaCroix, Leah Price & Caitlyn Martin; 2 grandsons, Christopher Mudrick & Maxx Tanguay; 2 great granddaughters, Lyra & Cora LaCroix; great grandson Julian Price along with several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Anne Mudrick; brother, Barney Mudrick and sister, Carolyn Benedict. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 9th from 4-7pm at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921. Legion Services will be held 6PM and firematic services will be held 6:30PM at the funeral home. Funeral mass will be held 10AM Friday, June 10th at St. Joseph Church, Florida, NY. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Florida, NY.
