Aleksandra Tomczak of Pine Island, NY, entered into rest on Monday, March 10, 2014 at home. She was 90. She was born on October 27, 1923 in Russia. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Church Living Rosary Society, Pine Island; and the Pine Island Senior Citizens, Pine Island. She was a loving mother and babci who loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her son, James Tomczak & wife Linda of Pine Island; Son Richard Tomczak & wife Doris of Florida, NY; Son, John Tomczak of Pine Island; 12 Grandchildren, Christopher, Peter & fiancé Katie Rudy, Alyson, Amy, Alexandra, Richard Jr., Sarah, Jacqueline, Joseph, Rebecca, Michael & James. She was predeceased by her husband Peter Tomczak and one grandson, Jonathan, son of James. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 13th from 4-8PM at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 690 County Route# 1, Pine Island, NY 10969. Rosary services will be held at 6:30PM. A funeral mass will be held 10AM Friday, March 14th at St. Stanislaus Church, 17 Pulaski Highway, Pine Island, NY. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Pine Island, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Stanislaus Church Restoration Fund, 14 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921.
