Ronald "Whitey" Kleveno of Warwick, NY, a retired butcher for Shoprite, entered into rest on Monday, August 10, 2015. He was 71. The son of the late David Kleveno & Bertha Schadt Kleveno, he was born May 29, 1944 in Warwick, NY. He was a US Army Vietnam veteran. He was a member of the Nicholas P. Lesando Jr. Post 214, Warwick, NY and a honorary member of the Amity Fire Company, Pine Island, NY. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Susan Glowaczewski Kleveno at home; son, Tom Kleveno & wife Briana of Wurtsboro; 2 granddaughters, Kamryn & Addison Kleveno; 2 brothers, Richard Kleveno & wife Donna of Myrtle Beach, SC and Randy Kleveno of Myrtle Beach, SC; sister, Allegra Towner & companion Tom of Monticello, NY; sister in law, Rosalie Kleveno of Vernon, NJ; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother Robert Kleveno. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 13th from 4-8PM at the T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 690 County Route# 1, Pine Island, NY 10969. Funeral Mass will be held 12Noon Friday, August 14th at St. Stephen Church, 75 Sanfordville Road, Warwick, NY. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Pine Island, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pine Island Fire Department, PO Box 159, Pine Island, NY 10969.
