Obituary of Christopher Dwyer

Christopher Dwyer of Florida, NY, a creative small business owner, artist, and locksmith, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, December 20, 2022. He was 24.

Chris was a talented artist and with a love of music. His sense of humor and contagious smile live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Car rides with Chris were always filled with the best music and funniest stories.

The son of Edmund Dwyer and Carla Rossi Dwyer, he was born on August 7, 1998 in Livingston, NJ. He is survived by his loving parents, Ed and Carla Dwyer; sister, Alessandra Dwyer; his fiancé, Sophia Auteri, whom he loved dearly for seven years; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. Chris was predeceased by his grandparents, Carla and Uranio Rossi and grandmother, Margaret Dwyer.

No words can aptly summarize the light that Chris brought to those around him. His personality and his interests were so unique to him, and they created the beautiful person we all grew to love.

Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, December 30th from 4-7PM at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921.  A memorial prayer service will be held 6:30PM Friday evening at the funeral home.
