Obituary of Marion Filipowski

Marion Filipowski of Sussex, NJ, a retired waitress of 45 years for Ye Jolly Onion Inn, Pine Island and High Point Regional School District, entered into rest on Saturday, March 18, 2023.  She was 94.

The daughter of the late Frank and Mary Heller, she was born on January 19, 1929 in Franklin, NJ.

She was a member of the High Point Ladies Group and the Sussex over 50 Club.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Bowling of Cincinnati, OH; son, Randy Filipowski of Unionville, NY; brother, John Heller; along with several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews; along with great-great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 22^nd from 4-8PM at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 690 County Route# 1, Pine Island, NY 10969.

A funeral mass will be held 10:30AM Thursday, March 23^rd at St. Stanislaus Church, 17 Pulaski Highway, Pine Island, NY 10969.

Burial will be in North Hardyston Cemetery, Hamburg, NJ.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wantage Township First Aid Squad, 888 Route 23, Wantage, NJ 07461 or to the Sussex Fire Department, 25 Loomis Avenue, Sussex, NJ 07461.
