David Phillip Mellina an 18 year resident of Warwick, NY, Vice President of Sales and Design for DPJ Sign Company in Rahway, NJ, entered into rest on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at home. He was born on January 29, 1951 in Bronx, NY and raised in Plainview NY. The son of the late Larry Mellina & Joan Gordon Mellina and younger brother to the late Larry Mellina Jr. He was a member of the Warwick Country Club, Warwick, NY and a member of the Tuesday Night Industrial Bowling League at Pin Street, Warwick, NY. David was a former member of the Lords Valley Country Club in Lords Valley, PA. Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Veronica Mellina; daughter, Danielle Mellina; son, Derek Mellina; brother, Gregg Mellina; several nieces and nephews and many cousins. David's family would like to extend their thanks to Joanne and Ellie of Hospice of Orange and Sullivan for the wonderful care they provided to him during his illness. Memorial visitation will be held on Monday, August 17th from 4-8 pm at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921. Funeral Mass will be held 10AM on Tuesday, August 18th at St. Stephen's Church, 75 Sanfordville Road, Warwick, NY 10990.
