William A. Schmid Sr. of New Hampton, NY, a lifelong area produce farmer, entered into rest on Saturday, July 08, 2023 at home, surrounded by his family. He was 74.

The son of the late John Schmid Jr. and Virginia “Veronica” Anderson Schmid, he was born on September 12, 1948 in Middletown, NY.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marsha Morgan Schmid at home; daughter, Andrea Ogorzaly (Eddie) of Port Jervis; son, William A. Schmid Jr. (Kim) of New Hampton; 5 grandchildren, Killian, Zoey, Jacob, Emma & Andrew; brother, John Schmid (Kathleen) Goshen; sister, Susan Eckerson (John Sr.) of New Hampton; grand-dog, Shadow; along with several nieces and nephews.

As per his wishes, there will be no services and cremation will be held privately.
