Obituary of Dorothy Elizabeth Krasowski

Dorothy Elizabeth Krasowski of Westtown, NY entered into rest on Tuesday July 11,2023 at her home with her family, she was 96.

Dorothy was a retired produce farmer having run their family farm with her husband and children. She was also a retired paraeducator for Orange Ulster BOCES in Goshen, NY having worked there until the age of 79.

The daughter of the late Roy and Mildred McIntire O’Dell, she was born February 21, 1927 and was the oldest of 15 children and she is survived by sisters Florence Gardepe; & Janet Pines; brothers Eugene, Edward and Stanley O’Dell.

She is also survived by her daughters Linda Paffenroth and husband Alexander; Patricia Eckerson; Donna Bailey and Ray; grandchildren David Eckerson; Rebecca Milton; Deanne Paffenroth (Kobrick); Amanda Paffenroth; Tonya Vance; Kathy Kitchell; and James Vance as well as several great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter and many nieces & nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Teddy Krasowski, son Clyde Vance, son in law Donald Eckerson and several of her siblings.

Visitation will be held on Friday July 14, 2023 from 3-7 pm at T.S. Purta Funeral Home 690 Co. Rt. 1 Pine Island, NY 10969.

A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 6:45 pm on July 14..

Cremation will be held privately as well as burial of her ashes with her husband in Ridgebury Cemetery.
