Obituary of Dorothy Kay Rutkowski

Dorothy Kay Rutkowski of Goshen, NY a Beautician and lifelong area resident entered into rest on Sunday August 27, 2023. She was 79.

 

The daughter of the late Ralph E. and Dorothy VanAmburger Smith Jr. She was born on May 29, 1944 in 
Warwick, NY

 

She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church and St. Joseph’s Living Rosary Society Florida, Active Honorary Member of Florida Fire Department Ambulance Corp. where she was a cook for many events and was involved in the blood pressure clinics since 1992.  Former Den Mother & Commissioner of the Cub Scout Troop #44, Florida and a former Brownie leader in Florida, NY. She was also a former cook for the Demarest Hotel in Warwick as well as a hairdresser for Wanda’s Salon in Florida, NY.

 

Survivors include: her husband – Vincent J. Rutkowski Sr. of Goshen; 3 sons- Vincent J. Rutkowski Jr. and wife Sandy of Concord, North Carolina; John R. Rutkowski and wife Renee of Charlotte, North Carolina; Steven A. Rutkowski of Florida; 1 daughter- Dorothy Ann Myers of Florida, NY; 4 grandchildren-Vincent, Harley, James & Johnette and step-grandson- Josh; 2 great grandchildren Grace Myers and Salem Rosalie Rutkowski; 1 brother – Daniel Smith of Gainesville, Florida; Several nieces, nephews & cousins, also great-nieces & nephews. Pre-deceased by 1 sister-Ruth Powers

 

Funeral  mass will be held  10 am on Friday September 1, 2023 at St. Joseph’s Church, 20 Glenmere Ave. Florida, NY.

 

Visitation will be held on Thursday August 31, 2023 from 4-7 pm at T.S. Purta F.H. 22 Glenmere Ave., Florida, NY.

 

Burial will be at the convenience of the family
