Harold Charles Pfitzner Obituary

Harold Charles Pfitzner of Minisink, NY, formerly of Mahwah, NJ, entered into rest on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at home. He was 101.




The son of the late Edward Pfitzner and Harriet Lockwood Pfitzner, he was born on August 4, 1922 in Waldwick New Jersey.




Harold worked in the elevator industry for 40 plus years but his passion was as a volunteer fireman.


Serving the community of Mahwah, N.J. for approximately 46 years. He is a past battalion chief of Co #4 and a past chief for the township. Since moving to Minisink, he has served with Minisink Hose Co #1 and their Fire Police for approximately 30 years.




He is survived by his Sister Jean Stegen, his four children, William E. Pfitzner; James H. Pfitzner; Harold T. Pfitzner and daughter, Sharon E. Norman; five grandchildren, Nicole Price, Kerry Pfitzner; Jennifer Waters; James Pfitzner and Elissa Spanville; and many great grandchildren.




A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, September 30th from 2-5pm with a firematic prayer service being held 4PM at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 690 County Route# 1, Pine Island, NY 10969.
