Hey, grandma.
Life is, quite a peculiar thing. Before this journey, there were billions of years of the universe composing majesty upon majesty; until we were granted life, and in our illustration of humanity, we’ve been gifted most usually — decades.
Decades to laugh, to love, to live passionately and vivaciously, and to enjoy all of the ethereal elements of existence.
And there is no one that I shall ever know, that has lived a greater life than you. For not only what you share with grandpa, but for the miracle that is everything you’ve ever done.
For you to have loved and lived as such a magnificent demonstration of the human spirit, for all of the wonders you’ve found — in the strength you’ve shown along the way; someone so resolute and kind
We can all only aspire to be like you.
And this next journey is simply that. Another journey.
It’s another path, one that we all must take.
It’s not an ending, but rather a beginning that will shine so much brighter than all of this, and on this path you’ll walk with your beloved — everything will be whole, again.
Everything will shine with all the colors of the universe.
And I promise to see you again, one day.
I also promise to do my very best to live as you did, and to love as wonderfully as you do.
I love you, forever and always.
I love Grumpy, too.
Here’s to the next path, and let it be just as marvelous as this one.
