John R. Palmer of Maybrook, NY entered into rest suddenly at home on Sunday September 20, 2015. He was 62 years old. The son of the late Edward and Rose Brozycki Palmer he was born April 3, 1953 in Goshen, NY. John was a graduate of SS Seward High School and attended Orange County Community College. He was a retired maintenance mechanic at Valley View Nursing Home in Goshen after 35 years of service. John was a skilled craftsman and had just built a beautiful gazebo for his wife after his retirement. He loved trips to Niagara Falls, casinos and pizza with the guys on Thursdays. John is survived by his loving wife of 34 years Deborah; his daughter Tiffany Paul and her husband Jesse of Maybrook; his son John Jr. of Newburgh; step daughter Kelly Lacrosse and her husband Bill of New Orleans; brother Edward Palmer Jr. and his wife Evalyn of St. Augustine, Fl.;stepmother Joan Palmer of St. Augustine, Fl.; grandchildren Brianna and Brent Paul and step grandchildren Jasper and Liam Lacrosse; brother in law Douglas Gardner and his wife Dorothea of Wappinger Falls, NY and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 7-9 pm on Wednesday September 23, at T.S. Purta Funeral Home 22 Glenmere Ave. Florida, NY 10921. There will be no funeral service. Cremation will take place at MacLennan Hall Crematorium, Milford, PA. Memorial contributions may be made to the Town of Montgomery Volunteer Ambulance Corps P.O. Box 25 Walden, NY 12586 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital P.O. Box 2151 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38101-2151
