Dear Marlene, JoAnn, Linda and David I’m so very sorry to hear about the passing of John. He was a very kind man to me. I have not told many people about this story but John stepped up to help me and I’m sure with JoAnn asking too. The summer of my junior year going into my senior year of high school, I landed a summer job at the school but no way to get there. My dad died when I was seven years old, my mom didn’t drive and my siblings had jobs of their own. He drove me every day that summer to and from work without question. The boss liked me and said kid if you ever need a job come see me. Well life happened and not as I had planned, I needed a job, because of John’s kindness getting me to work, that lead to my 37 year career at the school and providing for my family. Whenever John would come into the Business Office he always made it a point to stop by my desk to say hello, we would talk about life and family. He was one of a kind and a very respectful guy. There are not many men like him in this world today. Rest In Peace John. Diane Anzalone

We want the entire Witkowski family to know we are deeply saddened to hear of John's passing. We were so fortunate to have John as part of our lives as neighbors for 36+ years. So sorry for your loss. I spoke to Mr. Witkowski many times when he was outside mowing or when I met him in town. He was a wonderful man. We are away and will not be able to attend his services but will be praying for all of you.

Dear Witkowski Family, I was deeply saddened by the news about the death of my neighbor growing up, John. He was always gentle, kind, caring, and helpful. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. I remember his friendly advice and him always staying active at the house throughout my childhood and even as I came back to the area to visit.
