Obituary of John V. McLaughlin

John V. McLaughlin of Westtown, NY, a former NYPD Emergency Service Unit Police officer and a retired Social Caseworker for foster care and child protective services of Orange County, NY, entered into rest on Monday, May 27, 2024 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was 63.

The son of the late Emanuel McLaughlin and Agnes O’Donnell McLaughlin, he was born on April 26, 1961 in Staten Island, NY.

He is survived by his wife, Diane McLaughlin; daughter, Caitlyn McLaughlin and her husband Jonathan Agin; grandson, Isaac Agin; siblings, Anne Marie Garner, Agnes McLaughlin and Tina D’Amica; along with several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his sister, Catherine McLaughlin.

Memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, June 6^th from 3-4PM at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 690 County Route# 1, Pine Island, NY 10969.  A memorial prayer service will be held at 4PM at the funeral home.
