Daniel Burger

Obituary of Daniel Burger

Daniel Burger (age 64) of Florida, NY entered into eternal rest on October 17, 2024.  The only son of the late Walter Burger and Charlotte Schleup Burger, he was born on December 13 in Basel, Switzerland.  Daniel and his parents immigrated to the United States and settled in NJ when he was 6 years old.

From a young age, Daniel was a car enthusiast and naturally gifted with his hands and mind.  He worked at Mercedes Benz for nearly 40 years as a technician and Shop Foreman.  He was renowned for his technical ability and troubleshooting skills, and when no one else could fix something, Daniel was able to figure it out.

He enjoyed exploring new technologies, (always pursuing the latest tools and gadgets) riding his motorcycle, cuddling up with his dogs and cats, cooking and baking and listening to 80s music, as well as helping his family and others out whenever his skills and advice were needed.

His family has fond memories of dancing around the kitchen together, receiving thoughtful gifts, and vacations full of enrichment and adventure.  Daniel always put a lot of thought into the things he did and gave to others.

Daniel was a loving husband to his wife of 36 years, Pamela Ratynski Burger and loving father to his children; Evan, Alina, and Dylan with wife Marissa and grandchild, Eden.

He will always be loved and missed, and fondly remembered for his goofy humor, love of cars and music, dedication to his work, reliability, and generosity.

Memorial arrangements for family at a future date are under the direction of the T.S. Purta Funeral Home.
