My precious cousin Nicky was always very special to me. I’m seven years older than he and his twin sister Carmel. I remember pushing the green twin carriage down the block in Brooklyn. Of course the carriage was way bigger than me but I was so happy and proud that I had twin cousins. Through the years we formed a special bond. I used to get a kick out of him when he ate salt sandwiches when he was younger. We didn’t have to talk all the time but he knew I loved him and he loved me. His death is such a shock to me and it has left me numb. I just wish the holiday’s would go away this year. It’s too painful. I will miss him until the day I die.
