William J Conn, 64, died on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Orange Regional Medical Center after living with cancer for two years. Born in Minneola, New York, Bill lived on Long Island and in Vermont before moving to Wantage six years ago. Bill worked at several jobs in the Energy field, including Long Island Lighting, Green Mountain Power, and most recently was an Energy Auditor for The Daylight Savings Company in Goshen, NY. Bill was the loving husband of Ann Cook, of Wantage. The loving and very proud father of Gina Tron of Montpelier, VT and Matthew Conn, of San Francisco. Bill is also survived by his stepson, Justin Cook and his wife, Andrea and his granddaughter, Brianna, three brothers; Tom, Ken, and Mark Conn, their wives and several nieces and nephews. Bill was pre-deceased by his first wife, Ann (Spinelli) Conn in 2003, and his brother, Paul, in 1994. Bill had many interests and was a source of information on almost every topic. He loved his gardens, the energy field, and helping his friends. He would want to remind you to register and vote in every election. Donation in Bill's memory may be made to local chapters of The Sierra Club, Planned Parenthood or WAMC radio. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at T.S. Purta Funeral Home in Pine Island, NY, from 2:00 -4:00 pm with a Memorial Service to begin at 3:00.
