In the comfort of her family, Adele Harriet Trenz, age 90, of New Windsor, New York, passed away on June 5, 2016. She was born to the late George and Lillian Kramer Clarke on August 7, 1925 in Union City, New Jersey.
In 1947, Adele married the love of her life, John B. Trenz and after raising their family and retiring from their Department Store business, they moved to Westtown, NY where they lived happily for 23 years. Both Adele and John were volunteers for many years at Horton Hospital which is now Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown, New York. They thoroughly enjoyed their duties there being able to assist patients and visitors and made many friends in the process. While living in Westtown, Adele attended Faith Reform Church in Slate Hill and later after moving to Goshen she attended Goshen Methodist Church. She loved the friendships of the church community.
For her profession in her earlier years, Adele was a Registered Nurse. She carried that forward as she raised her family and took care of aging family members. That was her passion and she possessed that quality to her very last day. For the past three years, Adele had been a resident at The New Windsor Country Inn in New Windsor, NY. She was very active in her life there, and considered it her home. All of the staff there has always been so kind and accommodating. They will always have our heartfelt gratitude. Family and Friends were always the most important aspect and her life. She thoroughly enjoyed their frequent visits, especially those of her great grandchildren. She also enjoyed going out to dinner and attending family gatherings, most recently, Mother's Day.
