Obituary of Iris R. Fuller

IRIS R. FULLER of Florida, NY, a retired supervisor for the ward clerk department for the Orange County Home and Infirmary (Valley View) entered into rest on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at the Valley View Center. She was 89. The daughter of the late William and Clarareen (Conklin) Vanderbush, she was born on January 28,1927 in Tuxedo, New York. Iris, an avid bowler with the Tri Town Ladies league for many years, was a 35 year member of the Women's Bowling Association. She loved to play bingo, crochet ,knit and do needle point. She especially enjoyed going to the casinos. Iris and her husband traveled through the 50 states and enjoyed their 11 cruises. A family statement read: "She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend who touched the lives of many and was loved by all." Survivors include two sons: Thomas Fuller, Sr. and his wife Rosalie of Florida, NY, Fray Fuller and his wife, Beth of Florida, NY, two daughters, Adelaide Jacobs and her husband, Daniel of Florida, NY and Carrie Maher and her husband Dennis of Middletown, NY 12 grandchildren; William Fuller (Mary Grace), Wayne Sisco, Shannon Babcock (Jeffrey), Dr. Alisha Fuller (Paul), Iris Sisco, Thomas Fuller, Jr., Danielle Fuller (Billy), Jordan Fuller, (Melissa), Garrett Fuller, Devin Fuller and Keane Maher; 11 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Carl F Fuller, Sr., son Carl F."Skip" Fuller Jr., grandson Fray Henry Fuller II and two sisters Helen Curtis and Gail Walter. Visitation will be held on Wednesday June 29,2016 from 4pm to 7pm at T.S.Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Avenue, Florida,NY. In lieu of flowers donations the family requests that donations be made in Iris's name to the American Cancer Society and the Florida Fire Department.
