David J. DeFreest of Meriden, CT, formerly of Warwick, NY died as a result of heart disease on Sunday, September 18, 2016. He was 31.
The son of Daryl DeFreest & Diane Nash DeFreest, he was born August 6, 1985 in Warwick, NY.
David was a survivor. He overcame cancer, the trials of ADHD and Aspergers Syndrome. He became an Eagle Scout, an accomplished lawyer, a homeowner and had a wonderful supportive circle of friends.
We love you and will always miss you.
Survivors include his parents, Daryl & Diane DeFreest; sister, Danielle DeFreest & fiancé Matt Marvullo; grandmother, Maria Nash; along with several aunts, uncles & cousins; and close friends in CT.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 22nd from 6-8PM at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 690 County Route# 1, Pine Island, NY 10969.
Burial will be held privately in Warwick Cemetery, Warwick, NY.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Warwick Valley Humane Society, PO Box 61, Warwick, NY 10990.
