Obituary of Roger Rosario Lupino

Roger Rosario Lupino, a 58-year resident of Warwick, NY, died peacefully at his home in the presence of his family on February 23, 2017. He was 89. The son of Jerome and Frances Lupino, Roger was born in New Haven, CT in 1927. He was predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Mary Beggy Lupino, and his sister Ann MacDonald. Roger served in the United States Navy from 1946 to 1948. He graduated from the University of Connecticut with a B.S. in Civil Engineering in 1953. His long professional engineering career included working for engineering and architectural firms in New Haven, CT, New York City, and NY environs. Roger ultimately formed his own respected and long-standing consulting engineering company based in Warwick. His son Jerome, a licensed architect, joined him and they worked together until late 2016. Roger was a lifetime member of the New York Society of Professional Engineers. Roger was a wonderful and much-loved husband, father and grandfather and a cherished friend to many. He loved his family, reading, crossword puzzles, opera, and his home. Survivors include daughters, Kathleen Lupino of Florida, NY; Elizabeth Lupino Decena and her husband, Mark of San Francisco, CA; Andrea Lupino of New York, NY; son, Jerome Lupino and his wife, Kate of Warwick, NY; his grandchildren Margaret and Lucas Decena of San Francisco, CA; and four nieces and one nephew. Condolences may be expressed on February 28th in the lobby of St. Stephen's Church, 75 Sanfordville Road, Warwick, NY 10990 at 10:00am prior to a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am, followed by interment at Warwick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Warwick Community Ambulance Corps., P.O Box 315, Warwick, NY 10990, would be welcome.
