Karen Cooper, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, of Westtown, NY, and former financial advisor for the Kutz Camp in Warwick, NY for 32 years, passed peacefully on Sunday, May 25, 2014 at St. Anthony Community Hospital, Warwick, NY. She was 73. The daughter of Blossom Ruben Ferarro, she was born on December 16, 1940 in Brooklyn, NY. Mom was a stalwart Mouseketeer and will be taking Minnie with her. She is survived by her husband, Steven Cooper of Westtown, NY; mother, Blossom Ferarro of Goshen, NY; daughter, Wendy Cedar of Westtown, NY; son and daughter in law Mark and Carolyn Cedar of Brooklyn, NY; granddaughter, Loretta Trinco; grandson, Jacob Cedar; sister, Abbey Meyers of CT and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM on Wednesday, May 28th at Temple Beth Shalom, Roosevelt Avenue, Florida, NY 10921. Purple attire preferred. Burial will be in Temple Beth Shalom Cemetery, Florida, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Unionville Fire Department, P.O. Box 372, Unionville, NY 10988 or to Lenape Ambulance Corps., PO Box, Unionville, NY 10988.
