The son of the late Stanley and Lottie Meduski, he was born on September 25, 1925 in New Hampton. A lifelong resident of Florida and Warwick, he and his father built and operated the first shopping center in Warwick in 1956. It was sold in 1975, and is currently the Shoprite supermarket.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and retired with the rank of Lieutenant in 1964, receiving his commission at MIT under the V-12 program.
As an original member of Troop 44 in 1937, his most enjoyable accomplishments were with the Boy Scouts. For many years he was Finance Chairman of the Warwick area for the Orange Sullivan Council. In 1968, he was awarded the Bronze Pelican by the Archdioceses of New York for his extended work in scouting. After 35 great years, he retired from scouting after seeing his son Mark through his days in the scouts.
