Obituary of Carolyn Doty

Carolyn Dorr Doty of Warwick, NY entered into rest on Monday January 24, 2011. She was 71. She was a retired Choral Director – Instrumental teacher for the Warwick Valley Central School District for 30 years. The daughter of the late Nelson V. and Norma Gardiner Dorr she was born on April 15, 1939 in Ballston Spa, NY. “Lynie loved having her family around her but cherished her grandchildren most of all. She was a great wife, mom, nana, aunt, sister and friend. We will all miss her dearly, most of all her quick wit and ability to make everyone around her laugh and smile. She was a great inspiration to us all.” She is survived by her husband W. Roger Doty at home; Daughter Darci Lyn Strecker and her husband Mark Strecker; and their children Cole Anthony Zanetti, Paige Ashton Zanetti, and Cassidee Strecker; Son Richard Frank Maraday and his wife Suzanne ; and their children Jackson Greg Maraday, and Sadie Lyn Maraday; Daughter Linda Jasper and her husband David; and their children Sean Jasper, and Stephanie Jasper; ; Step-daughter Wanda Besser and her daughter Britany Rogers; Brother Duaine Dorr and his wife Patty; sister-in-law Sharon Dorr; several nieces and nephews; She was pre-deceased by her brother Roger Dorr. There will be no funeral services.
