Obituary of Marian Mike Cisz

Marian “Uncle Mike” Cisz of Florida, NY, a retired employee for Ford Motor Company, entered into rest on Wednesday April 6, 2011 at the Valley View Center, Goshen, NY. He was 78. The son of the late John and Marianna Kowalczyk Cisz he was born on March 1, 1933 in Zastawie, Poland. He served in the U.S. Army Armored Infantry Battalion. Mike was a member of St. Joseph’s Church, St. Joseph’s Holy Name, P.L.A.V. Post #16 and the Middletown Elks Lodge #1097, Seward Senior Citizens. Survivors include his 2 Sisters, Josephine Malek and Lena Sikorski and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 4 sisters, Adele Olejniczak, Catherine Szulewski, Helen Sobon and Jennie Zawadzcki. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Friday April 8, 2011 at TS Purta Funeral Home 22 Glenmere Ave. Florida, NY 10921. Funeral mass will be held 9:00 A.M. on Saturday April 9, 2011 at St. Joseph’s Church 20 Glenmere Ave. Florida, NY. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Florida.
