Obituary of Lillian Rogowski

Lillian Rogowski of Pine Island, NY entered into rest on Friday, April 15, 2011 at home. She was 81. Mom was a graduate of the first nursing class of O.C.C.C., Middletown, NY. She was employed as a registered nurse by Tuxedo Memorial Hospital, Orange County Infirmary and the Park Avenue School. Most recently she had retired from farming. Mom was extremely devoted to her family. She loved to take care of others and was the happiest practicing her nursing skills or singing “Sto Lat” to anyone celebrating a birthday or special day. The daughter of late Michael & Julia Filipowski Kobylaski, she was born on January 21, 1930 in Pine Island, NY. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Church, Pine Island.She was the widow of Walter Rogowski. Survivors include: 3 Children, Cheryl Ann, Susan, Michael Anthony Rogowski & wife Lila all of Pine Island, Grandson, Kevin Anthony. 2 Brothers, Fred Kobylaski and wife Maryanne of Warwick and Michael Koby (Kobylaski) and wife Charlotte of North Carolina. Sister in Laws, Loretta Todman, Agnes Osczepinski, Mary Rogowski and Mrs. Charles Rogowski. And several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. on Monday, April 18th at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 690 County Route# 1, Pine Island, NY 10969. Funeral mass will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 19th at St. Stanislaus Church, Pine Island.
