Peter Joseph Acoraci of West Palm Beach, FL, a retired successful businessman where he owned and operated Pete's Dinette & Upholstery in Bayonne, NJ entered into rest on June 21, 2014. He was 82.
The son of the late Dominick Acoraci & Rose Luciano Acoraci, he was born October 24, 1931 in Jersey City, NJ.
He was a US Army Veteran who served in the Korean War. He was a member and Usher of St. Matthews R.C. Church, Lake Worth, FL.
Dad loved music, especially when he played the accordion. He loved life, good food and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his former wife Genevieve J. Dolinak Acoraci; beloved daughter, Lisa Rose Acoraci, both of Florida, NY; sister-in-law, Carol Acoraci & her daughter Rose; brother-in-law, Joseph Bartolomeo & his son, JP and family and daughter Nicole Bartolomeo; nieces, nephews and 2 cousins, Annette Calandriello and family and Peter Luciano; and 1 aunt, Julia Luciano. He was predeceased by his sister, Antoinette Bartolomeo and brother, Joseph H. Acoraci.
Memorial mass will be celebrated at 12 noon, Wednesday, July 30th at St. Joseph Church, 20 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, NY 10921.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Warwick Valley Humane Society, PO Box 61, Warwick, NY 10990.
