Jesse Mars Coates of Warwick, NY, entered into rest on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 in Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown. He was 82.
The son of the late Thomas Ernest Coates and Laura Bell Shader, he was born on September 10, 1928 in Warwick, NY.
He was a long standing member of the Sugar Loaf United Methodist Church, Sugar Loaf, NY and the Raymond Hose Company, Warwick.
Survivors include Wife of 62 years, Helen Schneider Coates at home, Warwick, 2 daughters, Nancy Porambo and husband Robert of Bethlehem, PA, Kathleen Henry and husband Frank of Peralta, NM, 2 sons, Carl Thomas Coates of Roscoe, NY, and James Coates and wife Catherine of Warwick. 10 grandchildren, Jessica and Robert Porambo, Michael Henry and wife Carrie, Jacqueline Reed and husband Trey, Paul Henry, Tracy Montz and husband Matthew, Kristy and Kelly Coates, Laura and Jarvis Coates. 6 great grandchildren. 2 Brothers, Thomas Coates and wife Alice of Warwick, Elmer Coates of Monroe, Sister, Nellie Freeborn of Sebring, Florida. 3 brothers in law, Walter Schneider and wife Colleen, Kurt Schneider and wife Cleta, Rudy Schneider and wife Mary. Sister in law, Louise Perna and husband Carmen. And many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by sister Gladys Quackenbush, brothers in law, Herbert Quackenbush and Tom Freeborn and sisters in law, Madelaine and Laura Jane Coates.
A memorial service will be held 11:00AM on Saturday, September 3rd at the Sugar Loaf United Methodist Church, 1387 Kings Highway, Sugar Loaf, NY 10981. The Reverend Lynne Severance will officiate.
Firematic services will be held 10:45 AM prior to the memorial service at the church.
