Obituary of Raymond Shuback

Raymond Shuback of Pine Island, NY, retired owner of Ray's Service Center, Pine Island, entered into rest on Sunday, October 09, 2011 in St. Anthony Community Hospital, Warwick, NY. He was 84.

The son of the late Joseph Shuback and Rose Rutkowski Shuback, he was born June 14, 1927 in Goshen, NY.

He was a member of the Pulaski Fire Company, Pine Island, St. Stanislaus Church, Pine Island and a former member of the Pine Island Chamber of Commerce, Pine Island, honorary member of the Middletown Elks Lodge# 1097, Middletown, NY and a member of the Mohegan Lake Hunting Club.

Survivors include his loving wife, Helen Shuback at home, Pine Island; 3 brothers, Edmund Shuback of Florida, NY, Marion Shuback of Goshen, NY & George Shuback of Chester, NY, 3 Sisters, Caroline Fremgen of Newburgh, Theresa Bogdanski of Pine Island, NY & Elizabeth Mikulski of Goshen, NY; Numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Predeceased by 5 brothers, Albert, Leo, Joseph, Louis & Bernard Shuback and 2 sisters Violet Shuback and Anna Knapp.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 11th from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 690 County Route# 1, Pine Island, NY 10969. Firematic services will be held 5:30 PM at the funeral home.

Funeral Mass will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 12th at St. Stanislaus Church, Pine Island, NY.

Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Pine Island.
