Obituary of Theresa Steele

Theresa Steele of Bloomingburg , NY quietly went home to God Sunday February 26, 2012 at Valley View Center, Goshen, NY with her family by her side. She was 89. The daughter of the late John and Catherine Mydosh Wisneski , she was born on December 16, 1922 in Jersey City, NJ. She was married to the late James M. Steele. To know her was to love her! Mom's favorite quote was " my father always said if you have nothing nice to say don't say anything" and that was the way she lived her life. When we would visit her she would greet us with " I'm so glad to see you , you made my day , no you made my week. I love you, you know." She usually had a joke to share, that she told over and over. We Love You Mom! She is survived by 3 Daughters Patricia Cook of Bloomingburg; Lorraine Otterbein & husband Bob of Warwick; and Liz Sicuro & husband Philip Jr. of Wurtsboro, NY; 2 sons Michael Steele & wife Ann of Middletown, NY; James Steele & wife Susan of Plattekill, NY. 10 Grandchildren 10 Great-Grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her son Garrick and son – in – law Rollin Cook. There will be no visitation. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday February 29, 2012 10am at St. Josephs RC Church 14 Glenmere Ave. Florida, NY which is the same church she and dad were married in. Burial will be in Bloomingburg Rural Cemetery, Bloomingburg, NY. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Pl. Memphis, TN 38105 or Sullivan County SPCA 104 Rock Hill Rd. Rock Hill, NY 12775, because Theresa loved children and animals.
