Timothy Corter of Chester, NY, an employee of Amscan for 20 years, entered into rest on Monday, July 23, 2012 at ORMC, Middletown, NY, at the age of 46. The son of Daniel A. Corter Jr. & the late Bonnie Romaine Corter, he was born February 15, 1966 in Paterson, NJ. Dad fought a long and courageous battle with cancer. He truly loved his family and will be missed by all who loved him. He was a past member of the Pine Island Fire Department and the Unionville Fire Department. Survivors include his 2 sons, Addison J. Knitter & Blaze M. Corter, 2 daughters, Ashley L. Corter & Morgan E. Corter; brother, William J. Corter & wife Elizabeth. Several nieces and nephews. Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, July 28th from 10am-12noon at the T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 690 County Route#1, Pine Island, NY 10969. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family or a charity of one's choice.
