Eleanor M. " Ellie" Kazar of Pine Bush, NY, formerly of Florida, NY, entered into rest on Saturday December 1, 2012 after a long illness, she was 83. The daughter of the late Peter Heter & Katherine Sosler Heter, she was born on April 22, 1929 in Florida, NY. Eleanor was a retired maintenance worker at the Orange County Government Center, Goshen, and retired employee of Alders Wholesale Florist. She was married to the late Walter Kazar. Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Maurin and husband Robert of Pine Bush; granddaughter, Courtney Maurin, grandson, Eric Maurin; 3 brothers. Carl Heter of Florida, NY, Ben Heter of Melbourne, Fl. & Ed Heter of Tarboro, NC and 1 sister, Theresa Russo of New Windsor, NY as well as, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters Josephine Turi, and Jean DiBello, and brothers Barney, Connie, and Daniel Heter. Visitation will be held on Monday December 3, 2012 from 4-8 PM at the T.S. Purta Funeral Home 22 Glenmere Ave. Florida, NY 10921. Funeral mass will be held10 AM on Tuesday December 4, 2012 at St. Joseph's Church, 20 Glenmere Ave. Florida, NY 10921. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Florida. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to United Hospice of Rockland 11 Stokum Ln. New City, NY 10956.
