Martin Sztyndor of Pine Island, NY, entered into rest on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at home. He was 93. The son of the late Boleslaw Sztyndor & Stella Michalowski Sztyndor, he was born on November 11, 1919 in Pine Island, NY. He was a US Army WWII Veteran. Survivors include his wife Irene Sadowski Sztyndor at home; Son, Ronald Sztyndor & wife Nancy of Pine Island; Son, Richard Sztyndor & wife Carol of Greenville; Daughter, Elaine Stillwell & husband Alan of College Park, MD; 11 Grandchildren, Stephen Decker, Kristen & Robyn Sztyndor, Tara Marchese & husband Charles, Donald Blumenberg, Eric Blumenberg & wife Stephanie, Ricky Sztyndor, Sean Clancy, Michael Stillwell & wife Kerri, Jeffrey Stillwell, Laura Santos & husband Jarrett. 8 Great Grandchildren. And several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by son Stephen Sztyndor, 2 brothers, John & Ignatius and 2 sisters, Mary Schirmer & Josephine Mikulski. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 4th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 690 County Route# 1, Pine Island, NY 10969. Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 5th at St. Stanislaus Church, Pine Island. The Reverend Joseph Tokarczyk will officiate. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Pine Island. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
