Bruce W. Bell of New Hyde Park, formerly of Warwick, N.Y., died peacefully in Long Island Medical Center on February 25, 2013. He was 71 years old.
The son of the late Isaac Newton and Ruth Seward Bell, he was born on June 16, 1941.
He was owner of Distribution Services in New Hyde Park, N.Y.
Bruce was a U.S army veteran having served from 1961 until 1963. He was a member of the Warwick Valley High School football, basketball, and baseball teams and helped Warwick High win the OCL championships in 1958 and 1959. He was an avid Yankee and Knicks fan and was also known as GUS Bell.
Survivors include his son, C. Michael Bell; brother, Donald (Darci) Bell; sister, Deborah (Roland) Scheuermann and several nieces and a nephew. He was predeceased by his loving daughter Jennifer Ruth Bell.
There will be no visitation. Cremation was at the convenience of the family.
